We are social animals and therefore our actions or work do end up having social impact. I try to have a positive impact on the society by organizing activities that bring people together through art, culture or science. Over the last decade, I got amazing opportunities to work with a diverse group of people from doctors to engineers and biologists to physicists. My work with wildlife also allows me to connect with people of different age groups, race, religion and socioeconomic status. I take every opportunity to talk to people about animals and nature. My habit of interacting with people has found its a place in my work practice as community building activities. This could be organizing a bird watching workshop with local people of Madrid, Spain to performing oral stories below an old birch tree in Stuttgart, Germany or participating in Indian festivities with people from the local village community of Rajasthan and Gujarat.

I am working towards establishing a stable research station in India to on ecologically relevant projects. This station will rely on building a core community with a bottom up approach i.e. strong involvement of local communities. The idea is to bring world class researchers, artists and thinkers closer to our place of work and include their ideas for establishing long-term monitoring projects lead by the members of our local community. More on that coming soon in early 2027 or mid 2027.
